I decided to get a jump on the sorting of school supplies so I could see what I'm still missing- see how on the ball I am??? Trey walked in as I was sorting and saw the brown paper bag w/ his name on it (he recognizes his name in written form, which is great, except when you're sorting school supplies). He walked all over the house showing everyone his school supplies, so I let him take his bag upstairs to put away in his closet- I had complete trust in him.....which was the fatal error.
10 minutes later I wandered upstairs to his room, to see him carrying his school supply list out of the room, loaded with thick, white, liquid (that was spilling all over the carpet). You see where this is going, I'm sure. He had taken two HUGE bottles of glue, and poured them all over the school supply list, his bag of supplies, etc. He also opened up his package of markers, and drew all over himself. Fortunately the school requested WASHABLE glue :)
Lesson to those moms brave (stupid) enough to make the same mistake: If you decide to do school supplies early, do not give them to the 4 year old child, thinking they will just look at them lovingly until the start of school.

Hmm..... good to know!
*running to remove the markers and glue I put in Matt's art table drawer*
Man, kids can sure make a mess!
HAHAHA, oh man...
I made the fatal error of letting my 4 yo paint alone at the table while I put dishes away. She came up to me in tears because all of her pink was gone, but I found it... in her hair! WHY? HOW?Luckily the waterbased color came out but left her hair very sticky until I rewashed it again.
Val- I don't see the problem...pink is so becoming :)
