Jake frequently amuses me (exasperates me, frustrates me, angers me) with his ability to talk NON-STOP, about anything and everything, frequently asking "why?", just to annoy. But every once in awhile he comes up with something that makes me laugh out loud.
Yesterday, while lounging on the couch, he kept gazing at his arm and looking contemplative. After a few minutes of this, he looked up and said "Mom, you know what? I really wish I was chocolate, so I could eat myself....." . Where on earth he came up w/ this idea, I don't know, but the more I thought about it (as a fellow chocolate lover), it wasn't such a bad idea!

Hmm... perhaps the story of King Midas (who wanted everything to turn to gold) would be useful here, lol! Now I need to go eat some chocolate...
Gotta love kids and their strange trains of thought!
Sometimes I just wish I could get in their little heads to listen to what is going on in their...it'd be a hoot, I'm sure!
I have 4 children, too, one of whom is HOH. He wears hearing aids and is doing awesome! I look forward to reading more of your stuff in the future!
youngest son and youngest daughter look so much alike! at least I hope I have them correct...the little girl w/the shortest hair...so pretty.
Val-
Yep, you got them right :) We have model a, and model b in our house. Model a would be Delaney and Jake (first of each sex), and model b would be the youngest son and daughter- funny isn't it???
Oh my goodness, GET OUT! My son said nearly the exact same thing!
"Mom, I wish my arm was chocolate, so I could eat it. And then it would grow back. And, Mom, I wish chocolate was healthy like vegetables but it would still taste like chocolate."
You got THAT right!
